PODCAST: The Re:Pro Health Podcast

University of Alberta Medical Students

A University of Alberta based podcast that raises awareness about sexual and reproductive health by delivering clear, evidence-based information people can use to make informed choices and advocate for their own care. Each episode features an interview with a health-care professional or an individual with lived experience who has deep knowledge of the topic. Conversations are grounded in accessible explanations and practical guidance, and aim to answer the “5W + how” questions: who, what, when, where, why and how for each subject so listeners walk away with a solid, usable understanding.

Episodes cover a broad range of sexual and reproductive health topics — prevention, diagnosis, treatment, access to services, stigma and the social determinants that shape outcomes — and highlight culturally sensitive, inclusive approaches to care. The podcast is intended for people looking for tools to navigate the health system. By combining expert insight with lived experience, Re:Pro Health supports informed decision-making, reduces misinformation, and empowers listeners to become advocates for themselves and their communities.
