Sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI) remain a public health concern needing a rights-based, collaborative, holistic response. The Government of Canada’s renewed STBBI Action Plan accelerates prevention, testing, and treatment to cut STBBI impacts by 2030 and meet global targets. Its evidence-driven priorities reflect scientific advances, social and structural determinants, COVID-19’s effects, and emerging infections. The renewal reaffirms the federal commitment to reduce STBBI harm, improve health equity, support provincial/territorial efforts, and foster a healthier, more inclusive society.
